Tatsächlich war es nicht nur wenig, sondern zero auf dem Blog los. Dafür bin ich bei der Einrichtung der neuen vier Wände recht gut vorangekommen *yey*
Erinnerungswürdige erste Male
- Kulinarischer Monatsauftakt: Ich erzählte bereits, dass ich am letzten Märztag die Zugstrecke von Mainz nach Düsseldorf nahm. Düsseldorf war dann auch das Ziel, denn vor Ort wurden ein paar japanischen Restaurants durchprobiert. Wir waren sehr happy 😀
- Außerdem war ich das erste Mal im Palmengarten in Frankfurt/Main. Auf meiner Recherche nach botanischen Gärten in Deutschland wurde mir gerade dieser Garten mehrmals angezeigt und als sehr schön beschrieben. Hat mich der Palmengarten überzeugt? Ja, tatsächlich ja. Auf der Außenanlage war noch nicht so viel los, aber der Palmengarten in Frankfurt bietet vieles, sodass es ein Einfaches war sich die Zeit dort zu vertreiben. Übrigens: Der Palmengarten ist nicht der Botanische Garten der Stadt Frankfurt. Das sind zwei verschiedene Gärten wie ich gerade auf meiner Recherche gelernt habe 😀 (Notiz an mich: Botanischen Garten in Frankfurt auch mal besuchen)
- Eine Freundin hat mich auf eine Kleinkunstveranstaltung mitgenommen, wo wir herzlich gelacht haben.
Irgendwas mit Foto
Der Schwarzweißfilm ist voller geworden: Freundinnen haben Model gestanden für Portraitfotos, das fand ich wunderbar. Dennoch fühlte es sich ein bisschen awkward an so richtig und bewusst Menschen zu fotografieren. Eigentlich wusste ich schon, dass es awkward sein würde und ich hätte mich auch ein bisschen vorbereiten können, aber so war’s halt dann nicht. Also bisschen ins kalte Wasser gesprungen und gewissermaßen learning by doing.
Leider kriege ich den Film zurzeit nicht voll, weil ich es geschafft habe, das Batteriefach der Kamera so zu kaputtzumachen, dass es nicht mehr hält. Entsprechend schwer ist es, die Kamera aktuell zu nutzen und darüber bin ich echt traurig. Aber ich habe noch keine adäquate Lösung gefunden 🙁
Scanner-Fokus: Handarbeit
Obwohl ich vieles zurückgestellt habe, konnte ich meine Finger nicht vom handarbeiten lassen. Hat sich wie Kompensationsarbeit zum Planen und Überlegen der Einrichtung angefühlt xD
Ganz oben stand: Socken Socken Socken stopfen! Ich erspare uns heute die Fotos von gestopften Socken. Was nicht heißt, dass sie nicht noch kommen, denn ich finde meine gestopften Socken immer ziemlich cool und bin immer stolz, wenn ich Socken sorgenfrei(er) tragen kann.
Ein besonderes Projekt hatte ich noch: Einer Freundin habe ich einen Wunsch erfüllt und angefangen einen Dino zu häkeln (erste Mal so etwas gemacht).
Es war insgesamt sehr interessant zu sehen, was passiert, wenn ich ein Projekt/Tätigkeit im Privaten so hoch priorisiere: Ich habe schon echt viel geschafft für meine Verhältnisse. Mit meinen ganzen anderen laufenden (Mikro)Projekten als Scannerin wäre das nicht so effektiv ewesen. Aber ich merke auch, dass mich das schon auch irgendwie … „ausgelaugt“ hat. So richtig lassen konnte ich es eben nicht und habe nebenher doch noch andere Sachen gemacht. Bloß nicht so viele wie sonst höhö
Ich erhole mich gerade von dem doch sehr vollen April und wünsche dir in dem Sinne noch einen schönen restlichen Mai!
In fact, there was not only little, but zero going on on the blog. On the other hand, I’ve made good progress with the furnishing of the new four walls *yey*.
Memorable first times
- Culinary beginning of the month: I already told you that I took the train from Mainz to Düsseldorf on the last day of March. Düsseldorf was eventually the destination as we tried out a few Japanese restaurants on the spot. We were very happy afterwards 😀
- I also visited the Palmengarten in Frankfurt/Main for the first time. When I was researching botanical gardens in Germany, this garden in particular was commented on several times and described as very beautiful. Did the Palmengarten convince me? Yes, as a matter of fact it did. There wasn’t much going on in the outdoor area yet but the Palmengarten in Frankfurt has a lot to offer, so it was easy to have a good time there. By the way, the Palmengarten is not the botanical garden of the city of Frankfurt. They are two different gardens, as I just learned on my research 😀 (Note to self: visit the Botanical Garden in Frankfurt, too).
- A friend took me to a cabaret event where we laughed heartily.
Something with photography
The black and white film has become fuller: Friends posed for portrait photos which I really appreciate. Still, it felt a bit awkward to shoot people officially and also consciously. Actually, I already knew that it would be awkward and I could have prepared myself a bit for the situation but that’s not what happened. So I jumped in at the deep end and practiced learning by doing.
Unfortunately, I can’t get the film full at the moment because I managed to break the battery compartment of the camera so badly that it won’t hold anymore. So it’s hard to use the camera at the moment and I’m really sad about that. But I haven’t found an adequate solution yet 🙁
Scanner focus: handicraft
Although I put a lot of things on hold I couldn’t keep my fingers off the handicraft. It felt like compensation work for planning and thinking about the interior for the new home.
Very trendy handicraft this month: Darning socks socks socks! I’ll spare us the photos of darned socks today. Which doesn’t mean they won’t come because I do think my darned socks are pretty cool and I’m always super proud when I can wear socks (more) carefree.
I also had a special project: I fulfilled a friend’s wish and started crocheting her a dino (first time I did something like this).
In summary, it was very interesting to see what happens when I prioritise a project/activity so highly in my private life: I’ve managed to get a lot done by my standards. With all my other ongoing (micro)projects as a scanner, it wouldn’t have been as effective. But I also notice that it has somehow … „drained“ me. I couldn’t really resist and did other things on the side eventually. Just not as many as usual höhö
