Wie mache ich meinen Blog sichtbar(er)? Will ich dafür Werbung machen? Will ich mir die Arbeit machen, um mehr Besuch auf meinem Blog zu bekommen?
Das waren Fragen, die ich anfangs hatte und erstellte aus Voraussicht einen Instagram-Account. Auf dem Account postete ich außer dem ersten Post mit ähnlichen Fragen nichts mehr, da ich dann keine Lust hatte, sowohl Blog als auch Instagram zu bespielen.
Das Thema kam wieder auf als ich letztens über mein Hobby Fotografie sprach und gefragt wurde, ob ich meine Fotos denn irgendwo präsentieren würde, in einem Bildband oder einem Fotoalbum (nein und nein).
Und da stand die Frage wieder im Raum, dieses Mal spezifischer: Will ich Instagram, DIE Foto-App, nutzen, um meine Fotos zu präsentieren?
Es gibt Gründe, die mich von Instagram abhielten: Ich habe nicht den gesündesten Umgang mit Instagram (sinnloses scrollen) und mag nicht wie ich dazu verleitet werde zu viel Zeit in der App zu verbringen. Es ist ein Zeitfresser.
Die Regeln auf Instagram sichtbar zu sein, sind mir unklar und ich will keine Zeit investieren diese zu verstehen.
Aber wenn ich das Spiel nicht mitspiele, bringt es mir überhaupt was?
Am Ende steht meine Antwort fürs Erste fest: Einfach machen. Ich poste einige Fotos und benutze brav Hashtags und schaue was passiert. Ich habe Lust drauf, meine Fotos sichtbar zu machen. Wenigstens die Fotos, nicht unbedingt meinen Blog (aber wenn es so käme, freue ich mich natürlich auch). Ich weiß nicht wie (Quadrat oder Originalformat?) und was (Alle oder eine Auswahl?) ich posten werde und lasse es einfach mal laufen.

How does my blog become (more) visible? Do I want to advertise my blog? Do I want to put any effort into getting more people on my blog?
These were questions I had in the beginning and created prospectively an Instagram account. But since I didn’t have that much motivation to create content for both the blog and Instagram, only one Instagram post with the same questions as above as caption was posted.
This topic arose again recently when I talked about photography as my hobby and was asked whether I present my photos anywhere, for example in a picture book or a photo album (no and no).
And then this question was there again but more specific: Do I want to use Instagram – THE app for photography – to show my photos?
There have been reasons why I didn’t feel like using Instagram: The relationship between Instagram and me is not the healthiest one (pointless scrolling through the app) and I don’t like how the app makes me spending too much time on it. It’s such a time killer.
I don’t know how Instagram works regarding visibility and I don’t even want to know it.
But if I don’t join the Insta-game, won’t Instagram be a waste of time?
Eventually, I found my answer: Just do it. I will post a few photos, add hashtags of course and wait what will happen. I’m indeed keen on posting my photos and show what I have. Though this is more about my photos, not necessarily about my blog (but if my blog becomes more visible I won’t complain of course). I don’t know how (square or original format?) and what (all photos or only a selection?) I will post and will just let it flow.
