Sunny 16 #2 | Einleitung
Noch bevor ich in die Pause ging, war meine 2. Filmrolle, gefüllt mithilfe der Sunny 16-Regel, fertig. Ich erinnere mich noch, wie aufgeregt ich war, als ich kurz davor war mir die Scans der Positiven anzuschauen. Hatte das damals sogar dokumentiert, hier ein kleiner Auszug davon:
„Aaaaach, ich weiß nicht was ich erwarte… natürlich hoffe ich, dass da ein paar richtig coole Sachen dabei sind, aber gleichzeitig versuche ich mich zum ‚Keep cool‘-Denken zu bewegen und nicht zu viel zu erwarten.“
Also alles wie immer, wenn ich die Ergebnisse meines entwickelten Films dann endlich in der Hand (physisch oder im übertragenen Sinne) halte.
Wie schon im lernlogbuch #1 erwähnt, war es diesmal ein Schwarzweißfilm. Das bringt ganz eigene Herausforderungen mit sich: „Und ob die Motive überhaupt gut waren für SW-Fotos?“. Einige Motive eignen sich besser für Farbfotos, einige Motive eben mehr für SW-Fotos. Und das zu lernen, ist eine spannende Herausforderung. Irgendwann sieht man bestimmte Dinge tatsächlich mit anderen Augen: Die Farbe immer mehr subtrahierend und stattdessen rücken Strukturen, Licht und Schatten in den Vordergrund. Es dauerte gar nicht so lang, bis ich mich an den Gedanken der Grautöne gewöhnte.
Wie beim letzten Sunny 16-Versuch (Sunny 16 #1-Reihe), will ich auch diesmal meine Ergebnisse präsentieren und meine Gedanken dazupacken. Ich habe alle Fotos mehrmals durchgesehen, in 6 Sets gepackt und mir Notizen gemacht. Peu à peu werde ich sie wieder posten.

My 2nd film roll was full, filled with photos using the Sunny 16 rule, before I took a break. I still remember how excited I was when I was just about to have a look into the scans of the positives. I even documented that moment, here’s an excerpt:
„Aaaaach, I don’t know what to expect… of course I do hope that some of the pictures are really nice but at the same time I try to keep cool and to not expect too much.“
Thus, the usual thing and thought when it comes to see the results of a developed film for the first time.
As mentioned in my post lernlogbuch #1, this time I shot a black white film. This brings new challenges: „Did the chosen motives even suit bw photos?“ Some motives are more suitable for colour photographs, others more suitable for bw photos. That’s how it is. To learn to distinguish this is a thrilling challenge. At some point you eventually see things differently: You subtract the colours more and more, and instead structures, lights and darks come to the fore. It didn’t take that much time until I was used to the way of seeing things in shades of grey.
As for the last time, when I tried Sunny 16 (round #1), I want to show my results and add my thoughts. I’ve looked over the photos several times, wrapped them into 6 sets and made some notes. Bit by bit I’ll post them.
