Es hört sich vielleicht etwas selbstverliebt an, aber einige der Fotos, die ich auf Instagram gepostet habe, mag ich wirklich gerne. Wobei, so selbstverliebt ist das ja nicht. Nicht alle, aber viele Menschen werden das Bild, das sie auf Instagram posten, grundsätzlich schon mögen und es deshalb zeigen wollen, oder? Wie Instagram meinen Blick auf Fotos und das Fotografieren verändert hat, ist zwar auch interessant, aber nicht der Grund meines heutigen Posts.

Auf Instagram poste ich Fotos normalerweise im quadratischen Format. Oft mag ich das vollständige Foto mindestens genauso gerne wie den quadratischen Ausschnitt. Beides hat seinen Reiz, so viel ist klar. Und weil ich einige meiner Fotos ganz gerne mag, auch wenn der Post schon etwas her ist, habe ich beschlossen, diesen Fotos eine weitere Veröffentlichungsrunde zu geben. Natürlich auf meinem Blog – wo denn sonst.

Das ist ein bisschen eine Notlösung, weil ich zurzeit kaum fotografiere und grundsätzlich gerne selbstgeschossene Fotos online stelle (ich komme weiterhin nicht an die analogen Fotos vom Sunny 16-Projekt ran, weil ich immer noch kein externes Laufwerk habe.  Und ja, Stockphotos sind auch cool, selbstgeschossene Bilder aber auch!). Aber auch, weil ich finde, dass einige Fotos es verdient haben nochmal gezeigt zu werden. Alles keine Meisterwerke – aber das war und ist ja (noch) nicht der Anspruch.

2019 habe ich eine Freundin in Cuxhaven besucht. Gemeinsam sind wir an die Nordsee geradelt, haben uns auf den Sand gesetzt und gelegt. Mitgebrachte Chips gegessen, gequatscht und ein bisschen gedöst. Es war ziemlich frisch, aber das stört die Strandkörbe ja nicht.

Mich zurück träumen in den Urlaub letztes Jahr. Das tut gut.

It may sound a bit narcisstic but I do really like some of the photos I’ve posted on Instagram. But thinking about it, it isn’t that narcisstic. A lot of people do like their picture and that’s the reason why they put it online, isn’t it? How Instagram has changed my way of taking photos is an interesting topic but not the reason for today’s post.

Usually I post my photos in squares on Instagram. Though I do like the complete picture as much as the square size. Both have their own character, that’s for sure. Since I like some of my photos quite much, although they have been posted some time ago, I decided to post them once again. Of course I will do that on my blog – where else.

Actually it’s also kind of a compromise. On the one hand, I rarely shoot photographs these days and at the same time I like putting photos online which I have shot myself (I promised some analogue photos in this post (german only) but I can’t access my analogue photos on the CD because I still haven’t got an external CD drive yet. And yes, stock photos are cool as well but your own photos, too!). And on the other hand I think some photos just deserve another chance to be shown and be seen. My photos are no master pieces – but it has never been and isn’t my claim (yet).

I visited a friend in Cuxhaven in 2019. We cycled to the North Sea, sat and layed down on the sand. We ate chips, talked and took a nap. It was quite chilly but that didn’t bother the strandkorb (those beach chairs) much.

Going back to the last year’s vacation, dreaming. That feels good.
