Dreaming back to the North Sea

It may sound a bit narcisstic but I do really like some of the photos I’ve posted on Instagram. But thinking about it, it isn’t that narcisstic. A lot of people do like their picture and that’s the reason why they put it online, isn’t it? How Instagram has changed my way of taking photos is an interesting topic but not the reason for today’s post.

Usually I post my photos in squares on Instagram. Though I do like the complete picture as much as the square size. Both have their own character, that’s for sure. Since I like some of my photos quite much, although they have been posted some time ago, I decided to post them once again. Of course I will do that on my blog – where else.

Actually it’s also kind of a compromise. On the one hand, I rarely shoot photographs these days and at the same time I like putting photos online which I have shot myself (I promised some analogue photos in this post (german only) but I can’t access my analogue photos on the CD because I still haven’t got an external CD drive yet. And yes, stock photos are cool as well but your own photos, too!). Sunny 16 project And on the other hand I think some photos just deserve another chance to be shown and be seen. My photos are no master pieces – but it has never been and isn’t my claim (yet).

I visited a friend in Cuxhaven in 2019. We cycled to the North Sea, sat and layed down on the sand. We ate chips, talked and took a nap. It was quite chilly but that didn’t bother the strandkorb (those beach chairs) much.

Going back to the last year’s vacation, dreaming. That feels good.
